Using the same methods of teaching that have been used for many years is not going to be effective. Technology is changing all the time and education needs to change with it.

There are many ways technology could be used in education. Schools could use lap tops in class. We do this in speech class and I think it is a good step in using technology at school. Lap tops can be used for taking notes and doing research for homework. They can be very helpful tools in learning. Using lap tops makes class more interesting and being able to use technology is an important skill in modern times.

The first expectation of the net gen is freedom. Net gen users expect the freedom to be able to be connected where ever they are.

The second expectation of net gen users is customization. The net generation expect to be able to customize almost everything. Cell phones are able to be customized with the background, ring tone, and many other options.

The third expectation of net gen users is scrutiny. Net generation users use a lot of scrutiny when online shopping. They expect to be able to make and read comments from other shoppers that will help them decide which products to buy.

The fourth expectation of net gen users is integrity. They expect people to be honest and be polite on the internet.

The fifth expectation is collaberation. They expect to be able to work with others on the internet for many different things.

The sixth expectation is entertainment. Entertainment makes up a big part of the internet with websites like youtube and other social networking sites like facebook.

The seventh expectation is speed. They expect everything to go fast and get mad when it does not.

The last expectation is innovation. Net gen users expect everything to be changing and improving all the time. This is why cell phone companies are always improving phones and making new versions of them.

Accepting criticism of wiki posts and netiquette involved with criticism/comments.

It is important to be able to accept criticism and comments on your wiki. It is also important to know how to make comments or give criticism using netiquette. If you give someone criticism in a rude way then they probably will not take it well and it will not end up helping them. When giving criticism, you have to be careful about how you say it. You should try to say it in a way where the person will not take it as an insult, but they will appreciate the advice and use it to make their wiki post better. On the other hand, you need to know how to accept criticism from people. When someone gives you advice, you should appreciate that they are trying to help you and not be offended by what they say. If they are helping you by telling you that you misspelled something or you had some wrong information, you should fix what they say on the post. If you take the advice and fix what was wrong on the post, you should reply to their comment and say that you corrected it and thank them. It is important for you to be able to give and recieve criticism on your blogs and wikis.

Using Wikis to communicate info

Wikis can be a very convenient form of sharing information with people. Using wiki's to communicate is good because many people can collaborate on it at once. They can be used in education where many people are working on a project from different places. If they are doing a project such as writing a paper, they can use wikis to write it at the same time. This makes it easy to make the paper a group project instead of just one person working on it by themselves. Wikis are good because you can control who can see or edit the document. This gives you a level of privacy. Wikis can be used to share web sites and links to websites that are informational for projects too. In this class, we are using a wiki to present our projects. This helps us to keep track of what we websites we are using to present our digital communication tools. Smart people use wikis.

Using Digital Communication to Present... Digital Communication.

The form of digital communication that I am presenting is blip tv. It's basically the same thing as youtube. On blip tv, you can put up videos just like on youtube, but you can make them only viewable by certain people. I am explaining how blip tv can be used in business and education in high schools and colleges. I am explaining that teachers can put up videos of  the lesson for students to rewatch later and they can use it to remind students of assignments that are due. Blip tv can be used in businesses to communicate through videos if they are far apart. I can use other forms of digital communication to present this digital communication to the class. I can use things like videos from youtube that explain how to use blip tv and how it can be used in education and business. I could also use videos from blip tv to explain it and show benefits of it being used in businesses. I can also use tools like powerpoint to show important points.Digital communications like these can help me present my information about blip tv because it may be easier for other people to pay attention to things like this and it could make it easier to get my point across by using powerpoint.

Diigo can be a helpful tool for high school and college students and in businesses. In Diigo, you can create public or private groups and share them with whoever you want. You can use this to share websites, documents, and images with the people in that group. After you share a document, you can go through it and use the highlighter tool to highlight important information that you want people to pay more attention to. Using these tools, sharing information with people can be easier and you can use it to share these things with people from far away. Diigo can also be helpful in businesses. Diigo can be used to help businesses save money. If they are working with people from far away, Diigo can help them to share information and communicate more easily. This can help businesses save money because Diigo is free and they don't have to travel to communicate with each other. By using these helpful tools on Diigo, Businesses can save money and students can work more efficiently and easily.
